The Rental Car Center is located in the terminal next to Ground Transport West. Utilize one of the CVG parking options for parking of your personal vehicle, then walk or shuttle to Ground Transport West based on parking option chosen. Customers who need to park personal vehicle before getting a rental car: There is no parking for personal vehicles at the rental car center.Enter the Terminal, turn right and follow signage for Ground Transport West to get to the Rental Car Center. Get dropped off on curbside of Arrivals/baggage claim level. Customers being dropped off at the curb: Travel to CVG Airport, follow signs for Arrivals/baggage claim to the front curb of the CVG Terminal.Follow Terminal signage to Ground Transport West to the Rental Car Center inside the Terminal. Rental cars will now be accessible by walking from baggage claim - no shuttles needed.
Sharon’s extra effort was the only way I was able to make the flight, and not have to reschedule my entire trip.The Rental Car Center is now a part of the CVG Terminal - no need to get on a shuttle. Rental car pick up or drop off will take place in the new Rental Car Center just steps away from Baggage Claim.
Sharon had made the arrangements with both Thrifty and Northwest to have people meet me outside the terminal to expedite me getting to the gate. Obviously, I was the last person to board. I made it to the gate and was able to board the flight. At the same time, a Northwest agent was waiting for me outside the terminal with my boarding pass and rushed me through security to the gate. They met me at the terminal door, and took my car. Ultimately, Sharon arranged for Thrifty car park to meet me at the terminal entrance rather than having me drive to their off-site parking facility. During the 1 hour drive, Sharon called me several times to keep me posted on the plan. While I was driving, Sharon called Northwest to see what could be done to hold the flight for me to get there, and also called Thrifty car park to make arrangements for me to park the car. As Sharon worked the phones, I started my drive to the airport. I called Sharon at Fayette Travel, and she began working the phones to see what she could do. The problem was the flight was scheduled to leave in 1 hour, and I live an hour from the airport. This was the only flight that would allow me to make my connection to Asia. As I was leaving for the Columbus airport, Northwest called me to tell me my flight to Detroit was cancelled, but they could put me on an earlier flight to Detroit. I was taking an international business trip. They are always very helpful and put the customer first. I use Fayette Travel for all of my business travel plans and some of my personal. They both worked together that night from home to get my connection changed through Atlanta and I was able to get to my meeting as scheduled.
I called Sharon and Peg the night before I was to fly out of Columbus. I was headed to Belgium to meet with the top buyer of one of our largest Global customers just before Sandy was supposed to hit and all flights on the East Coast were all canceled. When your trip hits a road bump and you need help, who can you call? We realize a lot of people ask the question, why should I pay a travel agent when I can do it myself?
